Read this part first

If there’s only one section you read in this policy, it should be this one. It explains how we share your information with providers and partners.

BizMonda LLC owns and operates www.bizmonda.com, a business directory where buyers compare verified B2B service providers and business software. This privacy policy explains what information we collect from you when you use our site, why we collect it, with whom we share it, and what your choices are.

Information you provide directly

When you request to be matched with a provider, we collect your name, business name, a working email address, phone number, the service category you need matched on, and details about the project including approximate scope, budget range, timeline, and location. Some categories also require a few additional details needed to allow a provider to quote accurately.

When a business applies for verification, we collect the contact details of the person applying and the identifiers we need to run the checks — the legal entity name, registration number, and registered address. We do not ask applicants to send us licence or insurance certificates. The checks run against public records and licensed data sources rather than paperwork you supply, which is set out in full on our verification process page.

If a provider claims an industry award for the Award-Winning badge, we collect the award details so we can confirm them with the organisation that granted it.

We also collect information you send us through our contact form, newsletter and research briefing subscriptions, and surveys and interviews for our published research.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our servers log your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, which pages you visit, which site or search engine referred you, and timestamps of your visit. We record what searches you run on BizMonda and which categories and provider profiles you open, so we can learn which parts of the directory are actually useful.

This information is mostly collected using cookies and similar technologies. Learn more about those below.

Information we receive from other sources

We receive information about businesses from public records, licensing boards, corporate registries, court and regulatory filings, and published award listings. This is the raw material for verification, and we collect it whether or not a provider has asked to be listed.

We also receive information from partner networks if you submitted a match request on one of their sites and requested to be matched. Those partners may send your match request to us, and we may send requests to them. Our lead partners include 360Connect and other B2B matching networks and affiliate partners.

How we use your information

We use information we collect to match you with providers, run and improve the directory, verify businesses, reply to inquiries, send you newsletters and research publications you’ve subscribed to, detect fraud and abuse, compile aggregated statistical data about B2B purchasing habits, and comply with legal requirements.

We do not use your information to make decisions by automated means that have legal or similar effects on you.

How we share your information with providers and partners

This is the part to read carefully

Submitting a match request means your contact details go to providers and to partner networks, and it means you are asking them to call, text, and email you. There is no version of the form that keeps your details with us.

BizMonda is free for buyers because providers pay us for qualified introductions. When you submit a match request you give us permission to share that information with providers in the category you chose. We then forward it to a limited number of providers so they can contact you about your request. There is no way to submit a request without providers getting your information.

We also share match requests with partners that run their own provider networks, including our lead partner 360Connect. Those partners may then forward your request to providers in their network. We cannot control those partners’ privacy policies, so if you don’t want providers other than the ones we select to have your contact information, don’t use the match form. Instead, browse our directory and contact providers yourself.

By submitting a match request you expressly request to be contacted and agree that BizMonda, our affiliates, partners, and matched providers may contact you at the phone number and email address you provide. This includes calls and text messages, which may be generated using auto dialing technology, and will continue despite any state or federal “do not call” registration. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to such calls is not required for you to make a purchase. You may withdraw your consent by telling the caller to stop calling you, replying STOP to a text message, or emailing privacy@bizmonda.com.

We typically share a request with up to four or five providers. We do not sell your information to data brokers. Other than to providers and our partner networks as described above, we do not share match requests with third parties.

We share some information with vendors that provide our technical infrastructure, including web hosting, email delivery service, analytics tools, and customer support solutions. Those vendors only process information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

Finally, we may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, to protect the rights and safety of others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the buyer would inherit the obligations in this policy.

Advertising and affiliate relationships

Links on BizMonda may be affiliate or referral links. When you click on one and sign up with that provider, we may receive compensation, and they may tell us you completed an offer so we can be paid. Some placements on our site are paid sponsorships and we label those. You can read more about how money is made on BizMonda in our Advertiser Disclosure.

Cookies and tracking

We use necessary cookies to make the site function, preference cookies to remember your settings, analytics cookies to understand how the site is being used, and advertising and attribution cookies to understand which campaigns and referrals are converting. Some of these cookies will be set by third parties, including analytics providers and ad networks.

You can adjust your browser settings to block cookies or notify you when cookies are set, but blocking necessary cookies will break parts of the site. If we are required to display a consent banner under applicable law, you may change your choices at any time by clicking that banner.

How long we retain information

  • Match requests — until we have fulfilled the match, resolved any disputes related to it, and met any record-keeping and consent-documentation requirements around it. Telephone consent records are kept for at least five years.
  • Provider verification records — for as long as a listing is active and a period afterward, to provide evidence of the basis for a badge we awarded should it come into question.
  • Analytics data — in aggregated or de-identified form.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.

Security

We use data encryption while in transit, access controls on our systems, and vendor review to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a determined attacker will never succeed. If a breach affects your information and the law requires notice, we will notify you and the appropriate regulatory bodies.

Your choices

If you no longer wish to receive marketing messages from us, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email. You can also stop providers and partners from contacting you by contacting them directly and asking. You can email privacy@bizmonda.com and we will delete your match request, though we will not be able to recall it from providers who already received it. Each provider is solely responsible for how they use your information from that point forward.

Your rights under state privacy laws

California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and numerous other states have passed comprehensive privacy laws. If you live in one of those states, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and of any sharing that counts as a sale under your state’s law. You also have the right not to be treated worse for exercising those rights.

Under the CCPA, sale is defined broadly to include exchange for payment. Sharing requests with providers in exchange for payment falls under this category. Therefore, our exchange of match requests with providers and lead partners is considered a sale of personal information. Your right to opt out of that sale can be exercised by either not submitting match requests, or by emailing privacy@bizmonda.com with Do Not Sell or Share as the subject line, and we will comply going forward.

Where state law requires us to provide a mechanism to opt out of the sale of your personal information, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as well.

To exercise any of these rights, please email privacy@bizmonda.com from the account you used on our site, or provide sufficient information for us to locate your data. Before we process your request we will verify your identity. We will respond within the timeframe allotted by your state’s privacy law. You may designate an authorized agent to make these requests for you, in which case we will ask for proof of their authority.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom

BizMonda is aimed at businesses in the United States and we do not target the EEA or the UK. If you contact us from there, we process your information on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in operating the site.

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to tell us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to request that it be transferred to another organization. If you believe we’ve violated your privacy rights, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority. Your information will be processed in the United States, which does not have an adequacy decision covering all transfers.

Children

BizMonda LLC is a business directory not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. However, if you believe your child has provided information to us, please contact privacy@bizmonda.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we will give notice on the site before it takes effect.
